Another finish and a celebration........

I'm getting used to this keyboard slowly......have almost been tempted to put my old keyboard back.....

I've finished my own version of 'things I love' - 3 designs from the Gum Tree Designers, I used some colouring in designs (Eeyore & Miss Piggy & Kermit), some other published designs (albeit modified - the sewing machine and Shaun the sheep), but I did create some of my own - the Christmas tree, the garden Arch, the bottle & glass, and finally the frog I drew from one of my ornaments.  The hardest part was working out the block sizes, what lengths to cut the fabric and then working out where to put my 'bling'.  But I love it - it's all my favourite things, plus blue fabric........let me know what you think of it.....

tomorrow is my 32nd wedding anniversary - 32 years my wonderful other half has put up with beads, sequins, fabric, wool, embroidery floss, putting hooks in the walls and just allowed me the space to be me.....may we have many more.......

I hope all is well in your neck of the woods......

Cheers

the best of intentions.......

Technology has conspired against me.....my poor old PC was going so slowly a couple of tin cans with string inbetween might have been quicker.  So, a new PC I have and very nice it is too.....modern, fast (keyboard is a bit weird still).  So once I've got everything sorted & can upload photos again, I'll be back with a report on my latest finish...I'll give you a hint...it's 12 stitcheries (some my own creation).....kind of a story of me......and I will get to commenting on blogs....just forgive me if I mis-spell anything (as I said keyboard is a bit strange just yet)

so......enjoy your day & happy creating...

I really should be on here more often.........

I enjoyed my holidays so much that I didn't get on here to check any blogs out....but I have been productive:
  • 2 baby jackets completed
  • 4 table runners
  • 1 quilt (pinned & ready for quilting)
  • 1 sleeved cotton cardigan & 1 sleeveless cardigan
  • plus I've started 'Silver Frost" - a sampler by Patricia Bage (Patricia Ann Designs)

fat quarter quilt -  'Sweet Hearts' by Heathers Designs from the Bay Window - done minus the applique of hearts

charm square quilt - 'recipe from the Moda bakeshop' - except this one was done using 4 fabrics from my stash

Charm Squares (as above) but using the Christmas themed squares

Christmas runner (ready for 2012) - stash fabrics

blue & white runner - using part blue fat quarter plus white
I hope everyone had a safe Christmas & New year - I'm back to work today, but plan on being back on here with the rest of the pics of my holiday activity in the next few days (crochet pics to follow).......I need to get to read some blogs & see what everyone has been up to.......

I'm thoroughly rested & looking forward to a new year....hope you all are too.......
